Epic Epic Epic- We had 6 epic days diving with Pelagic Divers Fuvahmulah and I can say choosing to dive with them, was the best decision we made! The team PDF has working there are an absolute credit, and I cannot stress how much of a positive impact this has and weaves through the entire experience. We felt so welcomed and part of the family from day one. The dive centre itself is really nice to hang out at and the café does amazing drinks and ice cream which is made locally. All the dive gear we hired was excellently maintained, the safety briefing for the tiger sharks was thorough and very well explained, and the dive briefings on the boat were good too. The boat was super spacious and clean. The tiger dives were just something else, and we feel so privileged to have had the opportunity to experience these encounters. Every single one of dive guides we were in the water with throughout the 6 days were unbelievably experienced and knowledgeable, and made the diving so much fun. Safety was always at the forefront from the moment you stepped on the boat, to coming back up from the dives with all of the details being recorded and logged. Filippo did an amazing presentation on the Tuesday night on Tiger Sharks which was super interesting and patient with our 101 questions, and the fact that PDF have an inhouse marine biologist is incredible. It was really cool just to see what he does on the dives and how the sharks are ID’ed and stuff. We were blown away by the additional practices and activities that their operations also tap into; advocating constant sharing and participation in the studies of the tiger sharks, oceanic manta and whale sharks, going into the local schools to educate and engage the children, the implementation of sustainability practices and environmental awareness, empowering the local community and protecting the marine life…the list just goes on! Every single person working there had a direct input in making the trip so incredibly memorable, Panda, Aivan, Roam, Hissan, Abu, Shaaz, Mode, Sarim and anyone I have missed off, thank you for everything. A huge thank you to Ann; from the very first point of contact to the end of our stay, she went above and beyond for us, and we cannot thank her enough for helping us, particularly with the hotel issue etc. Also, a very special thank you to Inah, you also made the trip for us. Hearing all about the islands history, culture and the stories of your grandfather and what you are doing for the community were so inspiring. And of course, the melon headed whales encounter… completely unexpected and something I could have only have dreamt of so, thank you. Already looking forward to returning💙🦈🌊 Date of experience: April 2023

Beyond and above - We spent 1.5 weeks on Fuvahmulah with Pelagic Divers, and we were beyond satisfied. Everything was well organised, and the whole team was very friendly. From the moment we arrived until the departure, we were taken care of as family members. Ann was always available for any questions we had, and Mode was always reachable and ready to help even after working hours. The dives we had were amazing. On each and every dive, we met pelagic creatures, and the guys were always on top of everything. We felt completely safe during the dives because there were always briefings, and there were always more guys with us underwater at a close distance. Special thanks to Rameez with whom we spent the most dives and who always spotted something, even in the big blue :) We also want to thank Hissantey and Filippo for everything they taught us about tiger sharks. Big kudos to Aivan (who helped us save a camera light that fell underwater), Sand, Panda and Hanto as well for the dives! And last but not least, to everyone on the boat: Shaaz and Maty for preparing our stuff for the dives, and Maddi, Rolhu and Anwar for driving us safe! We are very thankful for the incredible experience we had and all the love and care we got from the Pelagic family. They are highly recommended. We will definitely come back :) Date of experience: March 2023

Top 10 Diving Experience - We booked a week long dive package with Pelagic Divers for the last week of January, 2023. Rock star office manager, Ann arranged our whole diving adventure for us including flights to and from Malé, accommodations at Ataraxis hotel (great place to stay), transportation to and from hotel from the airport and dives, our dive equipment and of course, all the amazing dives with sharks and along the island reefs. They are an absolutely fabulous team. The dive facility has recently expanded and has it all including a snack shack with fresh smoothies, hot/cold coffee, tea and other non alcoholic beverages. There are restrooms and a shower to rinse off. Valuables can be left in the office while diving. The service is terrific and seamless. On the boat (discussed below) and off. The only thing you carry to or from the boat is a towel and your camera and mask, if that. All the equipment whether you rented or brought your own is handled by the dive team, rinsed, hung to dry and back on the boat the next morning. We rented the premium gear which was new and nice but we would have been fine without the upgrade. We had only one equipment problem with a regulator fault noticed on the surface. It was replaced with a spare onboard without delaying the dive by more than a couple of minutes. Truly seamless service. One other point about the shop is they rescue cats on the island (there are no dogs allowed in the country), love, care for and socialize them to be around people but only when outside. I’d like my second life to be a Pelagic Diver cat, they often get fed fresh caught sashimi tuna. Yum Now on to the really good stuff, the diving… The dive boat is spacious and comfortable with a head and a fresh water shower, a place to sit in the sun or the shade, and the team helps you as much or as little as you wish to get ready. We received good dive briefings and during the reef dives the team stayed close to us pointing out the unique, the larger and the little creatures who inhabit this amazing underwater world. On the reef dives there was always one of the team looking for those elusive sharks, the hammerheads and threshers, who sadly remained elusive to us on this trip though not for want of trying on everyone’s part. The reefs are beautiful and full of life. Currents range from mild to moderate and were checked by the dive team immediately before we entered the water. Large schools of fish swam above, below and around us. The hard corals are unique and plentiful especially on the west side of the island, where we saw the largest sea anemones that we have ever seen nestled in a field of green carpet coral. Check out the video on their website. The real reason we came here though was our diving experience with the Tiger sharks. It was AMAZING and, we admit it, a little nerve wracking at first. Panda gave us a thorough Tiger shark briefing before we even got on the boat. We were well prepared for how the dive would proceed, how to recognize and act when a Tiger is becoming too “curious” and to be aware of the many safety measures the team takes with its clients. Those majestic creatures! Big (8-14 feet), close, powerful, and graceful, with lots of sharp teeth! Our heart rates were definitely elevated. Team members close by us were ready to divert any inquisitive sharks away, team members above and behind us looking into the deep blue to protect our backs. We know these are wild animals and unpredictable but we were able to relax a bit and enjoy watching them knowing the team was there and ready. We were so enthralled, we went back four times! You need to ask to see Hisanti’s signature move when redirecting Tigers. The jury is still out on whether we were brave or just crazy. In any case, it was AMAZING. Lastly, the Pelagic diving team is comprised of funny, thoughtful, professional and personable people. We enjoyed our time with each of them. The camaraderie among them is great as well. On one boat ride, they threw out an unbaited lure and caught a tuna, which they served to us later that morning at the dive shop. Seriously fresh caught tuna! (The cats also ate well.) Another evening they treated my husband and me to a romantic sunset dinner on the beach- with a wonderful home-made dinner, thanks to Mode’s wife. Thank you for your hospitality and taking such excellent care of us! Date of experience: January 2023

The diving is unreal, and the team at PDF is great! The corals there are incredible, healthy, and beautiful to dive. The sharks are pretty awesome, we saw them on every dive, ranging from whitetips reef sharks to threshers, and of course tigers! Unfortunately we missed the Hammerheads, but we did get a Oceanic Manta out of season! You can dive at any level with PDF, but I would say, being a little more experenced you'll get the most out of diving in Fuvahmulah! Big shout out to Rameez (Rome) and Aivan who were our guides on most dives and were fantastic! Also showing us around the island too, Thank you. If you want sharks then Fuvahmulah is the best place for them! Pelagic Divers are very professional, (We also work in the diving industry), our gear was looked after great and the whole team were so helpful and friendly. I highly recommend and will recommend this dive centre to anyone thinking of going to Fuvahmulah. We can't wait too come back, thank you all for same unforgettable diving! I host dive trips so I always want to make sure the guests I take to the Maldives are looked after and taken care of. PDF do the best job! So much so that I'm going back next month and in October. I see myself continually having a relationship with them. They really are the best crew and make all their guests feel safe. I wish them continued success and joy. Date of experience: February 2023
